PSORIASIS

Psoriasis is a long lasting autoimmune disease which is characterised by red itchy and scaly patches of abnormal skin. It is even though thought to be a genetic, so many times triggered by infection, drugs, psychological stress and environmental factors.

As underlying cell reaches the skin surface and die, their sheer volume causes, raised, red plaques covered with white scales. That is psoriasis lesion

There is no cure for psoriasis, however various treatment can help control the signs and symptoms, makes the person lead to healthy happy normal life. Local application of creams, tablets, phototherapy ,to recent drugs like biological injectable treatment options available .If patient not taken treatment can go for complication like Erythroderma or chronic stage leads to psychological changes, end up in depressed life.

So it is better to consult, confirm the diagnosis have a timely follow up and maintenance like only other chronic disease (DM, HT, etc…)

PSORIASIS IS NOT CURABLE, IT IS CONTROLLABLE DISEASE. BUT WON’T HARM INTERNAL ORGANS.
